Bio__________________________________________
It was inevitable that a faded photograph and the gift of a camera would change my viewpoint.
For more than a decade, as a licensed Radiographer, my imaging was of people on the inside.
It was here that my darkroom experience would begin, hand developing 11 x 17" black and white sheet film segued into my own darkroom to process and experiment with .
Yet it was a visit, vividly recalled, to the J.P. Morgan Library in NYC that was a defining moment. Seeing one of the oldest photographic prints , " Garden Gate" by Niepice intrigued me beyond words. From a postcard sized image I was able to visualize a place and time as it was over 150 years ago, but I wanted to see beyond the gate, into the yard and house.
What was it like, who lived there?
I was hooked.
Telling stories with a camera was a natural progession.
My bright and tranquil studio, overlooking simple gardens, is located in Northern New Jersey.
